Abstract

Use of fiber post and composite resin in restoration of an incisor after dental trauma

Krastl G., Weiger R.
A 24-years old female patient came to our clinic complaining about the poor appearance of her upper incisors. She reported accidental trauma, which occurred 12 years before. After endodontic retreatment the upper right central incisor received a fibre post and a resin core restoration. The final rehabilitation was done by a porcelain crown. On the upper left central incisor the old composite restoration was clinically unacceptable and had to be renewed.

Current concepts in restoration of vital and endodontically treated teeth, clinical decision making and prognosis are discussed.
