| Pain
control, i.e. the dentist's ability to cope with children's anxiety and
follow-up instructions in oral hygiene techniques after traumatic injuries,
significantly helps to save a considerable number of primary teeth. The present
review describes the patterns of injuries in the primary dentition, how to make
an accurate diagnosis and treatment as well as short and long term outcomes.
The treatment strategy after injury of a deciduous tooth has to be determined
primarily by pain control and by care for normal development of the permanent
tooth germ. |
